Vladimir Lvovich Mashkov, PAR〔(ロシア語:Влади́мир Льво́вич Машко́в)〕 (born November 27, 1963) is a Russian actor, known to Western audiences for his work in the 2001 film ''Behind Enemy Lines'' and 2011 film ''Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol''. Mashkov has also worked as a film director, producer and writer for the 2004 Russian film ''Papa''.
== Childhood ==
Mashkov was born in Tula, Soviet Union (now Russia). His mother, Natalia, was a puppet theatre director, and his father, Lev Mashkov, was an actor.〔http://www.filmreference.com/film/34/Vladimir-Mashkov.html〕〔http://allrus.me/russian-actor-vladimir-mashkov/〕 Mashkov works for Oleg Tabakov's theatre as an actor and the main stage director, replacing Tabakov. He has appeared in a number of plays, including ''My Big Land'', ''Biloxi Blues'' and ''The Inspector General''. By the 1980s, Mashkov moved from Novokuznetsk to Novosibirsk, where he was soon expelled from theatre school.〔()〕 In 1990, he graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre School.〔()〕
